The Report was presented at the Association’s July 1882 Crediton meeting. The Committee aggregated and tabulated an abstract of meteorological observations during 1881, relating to rainfall, temperature, humidity, and cloud. These were recorded by regular observers throughout Devon. This index provides a complete record of those observer’s names who participated in the ambitious project. All names appear solely on page 186 of the Report. The article, from a copy of a rare and much sought-after journal can be downloaded from the Internet Archive. Google has sponsored the digitisation of books from several libraries. These books, on which copyright has expired, are available for free educational and research use, both as individual books and as full collections to aid researchers.
