"HALLINGBURY (LITTLE), a parish in the hundred of HARLOW, county of ESSEX, 4¼ miles (N. N. E.) from Harlow, containing 470 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the jurisdiction of the Commissary of Essex and Herts, concurrently with the Consistory Court of the Bishop of London, rated in the king's books at £15, and in the patronage of the Governors of the Charterhouse, London.
