"FRINSTED, a parish in the hundred of Eyhorne, lathe of Aylesford, county Kent, 6 miles S. of Sittingbourne, its post town, and railway station on the London, Chatham, and Dover line, and 9 E. of Maidstone. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Canterbury, value £240. The church is a structure of the 12th century, dedicated to St. Dunstan. The register commences in 1714. The parochial charities produce about £11 per annum. There is a National school. The principal residence is Lenniker, the seat of Lord Kingsdoun, who is lord of the manor."
