"BINEGAR, a parish in the hundred of Wells Forum, in the county of Somerset, 4 miles to the E. of Wells. Shepton Mallet is its post town. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Bath and Wells, and in the patronage of the bishop. The church is dedicated to the Holy Trinity. A horse fair is held at Whitsuntide."
