"FLAXBOURTON, (or Bourton), a parish in the hundred of Portbury, in the county of Somerset, 5 miles to the S. W. of Bristol. It is situated in a beautiful country, and is a station on the Bristol and Exeter rail. The living is a perpetual curacy in the diocese of Bath and Wells, value £90, in the patronage of the Rector of Nailsea."
