"BATCHACRE, a hamlet in the parish of Adbaston, north division of the hundred of Pirehill, in the county of Stafford, 5 miles from Eccleshall. The principal residence is Batchacre Hall."

"BISHOP'S OFFLEY, a township in the parish of Adbaston, hundred of Pirehill, in the county of Stafford, 3 miles from Eccleshall."

"FLASHBROOK, a township in the parish of Adbaston, N. division of the hundred of Pirehill, county Stafford, half-a-mile E. of Adbaston, and 4 miles N. of Newport. It was formerly united with Batchacre, and deemed extra-parochial. The tithes have been commuted for an annual payment under an Enclosure Act obtained in 1764."
