  • Post Office, Money Order, Telegraph, Savings Bank, Annuity, and Insurance Office; Richard Birch Race, sub-postmaster. Mails arrive at 6-40 am, from York and Malton, and are despatched at 7-0 p.m. on week days. Sunday, mails arrive at 8-20 am. in summer, and at 6-40 am. in winter. Despatch at 7 p.m. all the year round.
