Body to be buried in the church of Leedes.
Debts to be paid, &oc.
Residue to be divided into three parts.
One part to the performance of this my last will; one to Elizabeth, my wyf; and the third part to be
equally divided amonges all my children that are unmarried.
Also to Elizabeth, my wyf, all my interest, leases, and term of years in my tenement in Leeds wher I
dwell, and in my two closes called the Hall Yngs, lyinge beyonde Leeds brige.
To the said Elizabeth thre kyen gaits in my close called the Holmes, and the thirds of my tenement in
Milhyll, laite in the occupation of William Dunwell, the yonger, and the thirds of my lands in Knowstrope
fieldes for lyf.
That the said Elizabeth, my wyf, shall have all her clothe well milned in my fulling mill during her
lyf without pay.
Also to my son Thomas Casson, my lease in the said close called the Holmes, and my lease in my close
in Holbeck, painge out of the close in Holbeck to my son James Casson 6l. 13r.4d.
Also to said son Thomas Casson, his heirs and assigns, my my messuage in Milhill in tenure of William
Deane, and one close lying in Knowstrope, between the two closes of William Iles. To my son John Casson,
one close in Knowstrope field, and two acres of land whereof 5 roods are now in occ. of me, and the other
three roods in occ. of John Cooper.
Also to the said John Casson, my lease in my said fulling mills, to hold two parts, and my son-in-lawe
Edward Calbecke the third part.
To my son James Casson any tenement in Milhyll, with the backe yearde thereunto belonging, late in the
occ. of William Dunwell the yonger, for ever.
Also to the said James C. the said 6l. 13s. 4d. out of the close in Holbeck. To either of my two daughters,
Grace Casson and Marie Casson, 6l. 13s. 4d. a pece.
To my graunde childe, Elizabeth Calbecke, 10s.
To every one of my servants, both men and women, 3s. 4d. a pece.
To the poor, on the day of my burial, xxs.
To my brother-in-law, Richard Baynes, one dublet of sackclothe, and one pair of hosen.
To Robert Thornton, a shepe-color jacket.
To my brother, Lawrence Casson, a chamblet dublet.
The residue to be equally divided &c., among my wife and children.
And whereas I have, to me and my assigns, by the last will of Christopher Jackson, laite of Leeds, yoman,
deceased, the order, education, &c., of Thomas Jackson, his son, with the lettinge, &c., of such lands,
&c., as are willed to him, I commit [my trust] to the said Edward Calbeck, my son-in-law, Elizabeth,
my wife, and Thomas Casson, my son, executors.
Richard Symson the elder, and William Casson, supervisors, with a bequest of xs. each and their costs.
Witnesses - Henry Ambler, baylyff of Leeds; Richard Samson, William Cassone, George Robinson, John Killingbecke,
Richard Cowper, and Thomas Casson, my son. Proved at York, 14 June 1569.
