In 1868, the parish of Dundermot contained the following places:

"GRANGE OF DUNDERMOT, a parish and a grange in the barony of Kilconway, in the county of Antrim, province of Ulster, Ireland, 7 miles N. of Ballymena. It is situated between the Ravel Water and the river Altakeeragh. There is a Presbyterian meeting-house. The principal village is Cloughmills. The seat called Springmount is within the grange. Here are remains of a Danish fort and fosse."

"CLOGHMILLS, a village in the parishes of Killagan and Grange of Dundermot, barony of Kilconway, in the county of Antrim, province of Ulster, Ireland. It is situated 9½ miles on the road from Ballymony to Coleraine."
