In 1868, the parish of Killyglen contained the following places:

"GRANGE OF KILLYGLEN, a parish in the barony of Upper Glenarm, county Antrim, province of Ulster, Ireland, 2 miles W.N.W. of Larne. It is 3½ miles long by 1½ mile broad. The road from Lame to Glenarm traverses the interior. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Connor, value with Connor, £206, in the patronage of the bishop. There is a day school."
