The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Dunmahon contained the following places:

"DUNMAHON, a parish in the barony of Condons, Clangibbon and Formoy, in the county of Cork, province of Munster, Ireland, 4 miles E. of Castletown-roche. It is situated on the river Funcheon. The living is an impropriate rectory in the diocese of Cloyne. There is a church at Glantworth, about a mile distant. This parish formerly belonged to Fermoy Abbey. There are ruins of a castle."
