In 1868, the parish of Annaclone contained the following places:

"ANNACLONE, (or Annaghclone), a parish in the barony of Upper Iveagh, in the county of Down, and province of Ulster, Ireland, 4 miles to the S.E. of Banbridge. It is watered by the river Bann. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Down, Connor, and Dromore, value £311, in the patronage of the bishop. There are two chapels belonging to the Presbyterians. The soil is good and well cultivated, with a small tract of bog. Tanvally Fort, very large and perfect, and several lesser forts, are in thin parish.
