In 1868, the parish of Kilconierin contained the following places:

"KILCONIERIN, a parish in the baronies of Athenry, Dunkellin, and Loughrea, county Galway, province of Connaught, Ireland. Croughwell is its post town. It is 4 miles long and 3. broad. The surface consists of good arable land and pasture. It is watered by the early course of the Carnamart stream. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Clonfert, value with Kilconickny, £310, in the patronage of the bishop. The Roman Catholic chapel is united to that of Lickerrig. The principal residences are, Holly-Park House, Tallyho Lodge, and Moyode Castle.
