The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Kilcomanbrook contained the following places:

"KILCOMANBROOK, (or Kilclonbrook, or Cremorgan), a parish in the barony of Cullenagh, Queen's County, province of Leinster, Ireland, 5 miles S.E. of Maryborough, its post town. It is 2 miles long by 1 mile broad. The surface consists generally of good land, with some bog, and is traversed by the road from Monastereven to Kilkenny. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Leighlin, value £29, in the patronage of the bishop. Cremorgan House is the principal residence.
