The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Ballygunner contained the following places:

"BALLYGUNNER, a parish in the barony of Gaultier, in the county of Waterford, province of Munster, Ireland, 3 miles to the S.E. of Waterford. It has a police station, and petty sessions are held once a fortnight. The living is a vicarage united with that of Ballynakill, in the diocese of Cashel, Emly, Waterford, and Lismore."
