Parkhead West - Church of Scotland quoad sacra.
Located at 1159 Gallowgate (opposite Janefield Cemetery).
Began in 1837 when the Assembly granted a constitution for a Chapel of Ease at Camlachie which came to be called Camlachie Mission. The minister and congregation came out in 1843 and continued in occupancy of the church until 1849 (see Gallowgate). On 20th November 1867 the cause was erected into a parish under the title of Parkhead Parish Church quoad sacra.
Church built in 1865. Now demolished.
Ministers - Alexander Rattray 1853-1904; Duncan Hunter Brodie 1905-30; David Barnes Cunningham 1931-64.
Terminated on 14th January 1965 on uniting with Parkhead East as Parkhead. Now part of CALTON PARKHEAD.
