Will of Kerenhappuch Hoggard of Alphington

This is the last Will and Testament of me Kerenhappuch Hoggard (Wife of Thomas Hoggard of Alphington in the County of Devon Esquire) Whereas my late ffather Greenaway Jacques the Elder of Wallingford in the County of Berks Gentleman deceased by his last Will and Testament in Writing dated on or about the sixth day of August One thousand seven hundred and ninety nine gave and bequeathed unto Charles Greenwood and Thomas Round therein described their Executors and Administrators Two thousand four hundred and fifty pounds Stock in the four Cent Consolidated Bank Annuities and Eight hundred Pounds Stocks in the three Per Cent Consolidated Annuities then standing in his name Upon the Trusts Uses and Purposes following that is to say Upon Trust that they and the survivor of him his Executors and Administrators did and should pay and apply the Dividends Interest and Produce thereof unto and for the use of his Daughter me the said Kerenhappuch Hoggard for and during the Term of ninety nine Years to be computed from the time of his decease if I should so long live to my own use and to be entirely out of the controul or disposal of any Husband I should happen to marry and not to be subject to the debts or Incumbrances of any Husband and the Receipt and Receipts of me his said Daughter notwithstanding my Coverture to be from time to time good and sufficient discharge and discharges to his said Trustees for the same and if I should die and leave Issue of my Body then his said Trustees their Heirs Executors and Administrators should stand possessed of the said several Sums of Two thousand four hundred and fifty pounds and eight hundred pounds Stock Monies unto and for the benefit of the Child or all the Children of me his said Daughter in such Parts shares and Proportions as I should by Will or otherwise direct or appoint And in default of such direction or appointment Then if more than one equally share and share alike And Whereas the said Greenaway Jacques by a Codicil to his Will duly executed and attested bearing date on or about the thirtieth Day of November One thousand seven hundred ninety nine gave ordered and directed the Trustees in his said Will named to lay out so much Money of his personal Estate as would Purchase One hundred pounds Stock in the four per cent consolidated Bank Annuities and pay and apply the said principal one hundred pounds Stock with the Dividends Interest and Produce thereof to for and upon the same Uses Trusts Intents and Purposes as he had by his said Will directed the Application of the Two thousand four hundred and fifty pounds and eight hundred pounds Stock Monies in and by the said Will which said Will and Codicil were after the death of the said Testator to wit on or about the Twenty seventh day of January One thousand eight hundred duly proved by the said Charles Greenwood and Thomas Round the Executors in Trust named in the said Will in the Prerogative Court of the Archbishop of Canterbury as by the said Will and Codicil of the Probate thereof will more fully appear a reference being thereto had And Whereas the said four Per cent Bank Annuities have since been reduced to and are now three and a half Per cent Bank Annuities Now I the said Kerenhappuch Hoggard in pursuance of and in Exercise and Execution of the Power and Authority given to or invested in me Do by this my Will in Writing by me duly executed and attested direct and appoint give and bequeath the aforesaid several Sums Two thousand four hundred and fifty pounds Stock in the three and a half Per Cent Consolidated Bank Annuities eight hundred pounds Stock in the three and a half Per Cent Consolidated Bank Annuities and one hundred pounds Stock in the said three and a half Per Cent Annuities and the ffunds and securities wherein the said several and respective Sums are now vested and all and every other Sum and Sums of Money Stocks ffunds and Property over which I have any power of appointment or Testamentary Disposition whatsoever unto my dear Daughter Elizabeth Hoggard her Executors Administrators and Assigns to and for her and their own benefit the same to be Paid assigned and transferred to her my said Daughter when and as soon as she shall attain her Age of twenty one Years And I do hereby further direct and appoint that the said Charles Greenwood and Thomas Round and the Survivor of them his Executors and Administrators do and shall in the mean time until my said Daughter Elizabeth Hoggard shall attain her said Age of twenty one Years pay and apply the Interest Dividends and annual Increase of the said several and separate Stocks Monies and Property in and towards the Maintenance Education bring up and support of my said Daughter And I do hereby appoint my said Husband Thomas Hoggard Executor of this my Will And Lastly I do hereby revoke all former and other Wills by me at any time heretofore made In Witness whereof I the said Kerenhappuch Hoggard to this my last Will contained in two sheets of Paper to the first Sheet thereof set my hand and to this second and last Sheet my hand and seal this twenty first Day of December in the Year of our Lord One thousand
