The Manors, Parish and Church of Blackborough alias All Hallows
Trans. Devon. Assoc. 42, (1910) pp. 346-360.
by
Rev. Edwin S. Chalk, MA
Prepared by Michael Steer
Blackborough, of which the author was rector, is a hamlet and civil parish in Mid Devon. Its nearest town is Cullompton, which lies south-west from the hamlet. It is home to the Grade II listed building Blackborough House. This was built in 1838 by George Wyndham, 4th Earl of Egremont, but was never completed and is now semi-derelict and surrounded by a scrap yard. Google with the Archive Organization has sponsored the digitisation of books from several libraries. The Internet Archive makes available, in its Community Texts Collection (originally known as Open Source Books), books that have been digitised by Google from a number of libraries. These are books on which copyright has expired, and are available free for educational and research use. This rare book was produced from a copy held by the New York Public Library, and is available from the Internet Archive.
