TETCOTT, a parish in the hundred of BLACK TORRINGTON, county of DEVON, 5 miles (S. by W.) from Holsworthy, containing 256 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of Totness, and diocese of Exeter, rated in the king's books at £13. 16. 8., and in the patronage of Sir W. Molesworth, Bart. The church is dedicated to the Holy Cross.
