The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Kilcornan contained the following places:

"KILCORNAN, a parish in the barony of Clanwilliam, county Tipperary, province of Munster, Ireland, 5 miles W. of Tipperary. Dromkeen is its post town. It is 1½ mile long by 1 broad. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Emly, value with Dromkeen, £480, in the patronage of the bishop. The church is in ruins. Here is a Roman Catholic chapel. Loughney Castle formerly stood here."
