The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Killurin contained the following places:

"KILLURIN, a parish and post-office village in the barony of West Shelmaliere, county Wexford, province of Leinster, Ireland, 6 miles N.W. of Wexford, its post town. The parish is 1½ mile long by 1 broad. The river Slaney bounds it on the E., and the road from Wexford to Enniscorthy traverses the interior. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Ferns, value with three others, £411, in the patronage of the bishop. The church was built at the expense of the parish in 1785. The Roman Catholic chapel' is united to that of Forth. There are three day schools. In the vicinity are remains of a seat of the Devereux family, who anciently possessed this property."
