The congregation initially met in an iron church in Warrender Park Road, opposite Marchmont Street (Site now part of James Gillespie School), moving to the newly built Whitehouse Lane church in 1892.
The church became Warrender Park UF in 1900, then Warrender (Church of Scotland) in 1929.
In 1972, the congregation merged with West St Giles and Grange to form Marchmont St Giles, using the Kilgraston Road building of West St Giles Church.
