This brief obituary was read at the Association’s July 1892 Plymouth meeting. A mortgage document dated 26 August 1867 held in the Plymouth Archives indicates that Mr Isaiah Cann “of Radford” was by profession a “chemist and druggist” in Devonport. The Centre d’Archives de Montréal CE 601, S85, Non-Catholic Burial Index, records his death and burial as “Radford, Isaiah C.- Baptiste”, 1892. Mr Cann Radford is further referenced in “The Canadian Album”, Encyclopedic Canada, or The Progress of a Nation, J.Castell Hopkins (Ed.),The Bradley Garretson Compnay, Toronto, Vol V, p. 233,  available on Google Play. The article, from a copy of a rare and much sought-after journal can be downloaded from the Internet Archive. Isaiah Cann Radford was for many years resident at Devonport. He joined the Association in 1869 as a Life Member, and took a very active part, as a Vice-President, in arranging for the visit of the Association to that town in 1870. He died on 27th March, 1892, at 10, Park Avenue, Montreal, Canada, at the age of 77 years.
