Vicars and Rectors of Bolton Percy
There was a Church and a Priest here in Saxon Times
but no records have survived. In the 12th and 13th cent-
uries, by gift of Picot de Perci about 1121 the patronage was
held by the Augustinian house of NOSTELL near Wakefield.
In 1250 the Prior and Convent transferred the gift of the
living to the ARCHBISHOPS of YORK who since
that time have instituted the following vicars and rectors.
