  • Section 2 contains all those who voted (each ward is a separate document in the transcription).
    • Voters in each of the four Wards (Conisford, Mancroft, Wymer and "The Ward beyond the Water" [or "Northern"] ) of Norwich are first. Each Ward is split into constituent Parishes and places &c.

    • These are followed by the "Country" voters living outside the City Boundary.
    • These are followed by the voters living in London.
  • Section 3 contains a table of votes per section (as per above) and is listed at the end of this page.

Next is the first of 2 tables. This lists the pages chronologically and the second lists the "Index to the Parishes" alphabetically. Either can be used to go to the list of voters or the other Sections as just described. Alternatively use the search detailed later.

[Description of the Poll Book]

The EDITOR of the Copy here offered to the Public, flatters himself, that it will be found as correct, as can be expected from a Publication of this kind. Many Errors must unavoidably happen in taking down Names and Places of abode in the Confusion and Hurry of a contested Election : For such Errors the Editor is not answerable. Several obvious Mistakes have been corrected; but such as were uncertain, remain as they stand in the original Poll Bools.

April 12, 1768.
